I was surprised at the “who” behind the mysterious acts during the games. She did a great job with the mystery aspect of the story. They serve as great examples for teens without being preachy. Jake and Sophie are two teens I’d be happy to know, if they were not fictional characters. They are both in the process of learning to put God and others before their own wishes. The two come from strong Cathollic families and are learning to rely on their faith in God as they face temptations and difficulties. Sophie learns more what it is like for Jake to live his celebrity life. In eXtreme Blindside, the reader will get to know Jake and Sophie a little better. She knows how to grab the reader’s attention and keep the interest high throughout the whole story. I know I said that before when I reviewed The Perfect Blindside, the first book in Leslea Wahl’s Jake and Sophie Mystery series.
